The Dakota’s FREE 40th Anniversary Block Party runs from 2-10pm. The party takes over Nicollet Mall outside the Dakota and the indoor stage. The day’s music schedule includes some of Dakota’s most beloved performers and Minnesota music icons, reflecting the venue’s eclectic blend of jazz, soul, funk, and Americana. At 7pm, on the indoor stage, catch Patty Peterson’s Jazz Women All-Stars featuring (as pictured) vocalists Patty Peterson, Ginger Commodore, and Connie Evingson, bassist Joan Griffith, pianist Mary Louise Knutson, drummer Shiela Earley, and saxophonist Stephanie Wieseler. They use "timed entry" so register here for entry around 1:30 pm if you want to be sure to hear the music. Make your way up to the 3rd floor of the Turnblad Mansion where she’ll be playing some holiday favorites from 2-3 pm! 

Shop over 60 local artists for beautiful, fun and useful handmade goods. Perfect for all ages, Julmarknad offers pop-up musical performances, family crafts, storytime, festive foods, holiday shopping at ASI’s Museum Store and Jul Shop, and a visit to ASI’s iconic holiday exhibition in the Turnblad Mansion.
